We have positions for all ages and experience levels. From operational Fire & EMS positions, to Contributing members we are sure to have some way for you to give back to our community.

Step 1: Submit the online member lead form or stop by the station.

Step 2: A member of our recruiting team will contact you to schedule a station tour and interview as well as provide you an online link to the complete Brookhaven Fire Company application which must be filled out prior to your scheduled station tour and interview.

• Make sure to bring the appropriate non-refundable application fee of $5 ($3 for membership fee and $2 Application Fee),
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID, and any certifications you have that could contribute to the organization.
• If you’re under the age of 18, you must have your parent accompany you during your visit.

Step 3: Once your station tour and interview are completed you will be required to sucessfully complete a thorough background investigation.

Step 4: While your Background investigation is being completed, your photo will be posted on our Announcement Bulletin Board for the membership to view for 1 month until the next upcoming company meeting.

Step 5: The evening of the Company meeting, your membership application will be brought up on the meeting floor for a vote. You will be notified of the outcome of the membership vote via email or phone.

• If you are present before the meeting begins, a member will come to get you from the lounge area and escort you into the meeting as the newest member of the Fire Company.

Step 6: After being voted into the Fire Company you will be issued the necessary equipment and gear to make a proper response to emergencies (for fire & EMS operational members) along with Rookie Book, Copy of Bylaws and Standard Operating Guidelines.

Step 7: If you have no previous training, we will begin the process of signing you up for all appropriate/relevant training free of charge.
